Use SG Migrate

1) select service to create new web site
2) select “Add Website”
3) select “existing domain”
4) enter in NEW domain name – clientname.boldfocus.com (or desired name)
5) Click continue
6) Ignore site ground DNS notice and press Continue
7) Click Select under Migrate Web Site
8) Click Select under Superfast WordPress Automigration
9) Click Continue
10) Click Finish

Site Gets Created.  It will take a minute or two.

11) Copy and save the Migration Token

12) Open SG Site Tools to look up the IP address for the new site.
13) Create DNS entry for domain name (clientname.boldfocus.com) to map to IP address using Network Solutions account.
14) DNS propagation can take some time, so do this step and then migrate to temporary site name (can ping from local computer. Network Solutions new DNS entries do not propagate very quickly (aka boldfocus.com DNS hosting). GoDaddy DNS propagation is much faster (other domains use that)

While the DNS name is propagating, migrate to the SG temporary server name created when the site was created.

15) Open up the admin to template.boldfocus.com (or if you’re migrating another site, download and install the SG Migration plugin from WP to prep the migration capabilities)
16) Select SG Migrator, or add the plugin, if it’s not present.
17) If there was a previous migration, select Initiate New Transfer
18) Paste in the migration Token copied from the new site setup
19) Set the notification email, if default needs to be changed.
20) Click on Initiate Transfer.
21) Site Migrator Confirmation to change site to new domain name (ie clientname.boldfocus.com)
22) Click Continue to confirm and proceed.

You can watch the progress from here or wait until you see the email notification of transfer.

23) login to new site with the admin account that was on the source site. Adjust items in Settings General (site name, time zone, etc), Licensed Plugins, Sucuri settings, uptime robot and InfiniteWP.
24) Create a new Excel Update spreadsheet in Network Docs/Sites using the Template Excel to detail the client, location and plugin information for the new site. Add refresh instructions or QA instructions as the site is built.
